Job summary

First Student, Inc. is hiring a Dispatcher in Weymouth/Abington, MA. The role oversees daily routes, driver coverage, and on-time operations, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Expect about 55 hours per week and competitive pay of $24.00–$26.00 per hour.

CDL is preferred but not required. The dispatcher will communicate with schools, drivers, and location leadership, maintain logs, and assist with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to work the full Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. schedule.
• DOT drug testing and safety-sensitive duties.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily routes, schedules, and bus assignments.
• Coordinate driver and monitor coverage.
• Monitor route performance and respond to delays or service disruptions.
• Communicate route changes and operational updates to drivers and location leadership.
• Maintain dispatch logs, route records, and operational documentation.
