Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC is seeking a School-Based Behavior Technician to support PK-12 students in a school-based setting for the 2026-2027 year. The role combines instructional support with behavioral intervention under clinical supervision.

Pay ranges from $27 to $31 per hour. This onsite, part-time, W-2 position serves general education and special education settings, with supervision provided by the Stepping Stones Group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proof of completion of 40-hour behavioral training course OR must have 6 months of ABA experience.
• Experience in special education, behavioral support, juvenile justice, mental health, or similar settings is required.
• Ability to complete a TB test and fingerprinting and a background check.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Comfort with toileting and diapering assistance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow school, district, and student support procedures.
• Authorization to work in the United States; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, 2:1, and small-group support throughout the school day.
• Provide behavioral support and behavioral intervention, and implement behavior support plans and BIPs.
• Provide emotional support and general academic support, including help with assignments.
• Support students with daily needs, which may include mobility, feeding, toileting, and diapering.
• Reinforce positive behaviors using evidence-based practices.
• Help students build self-regulation, communication, and social skills.
• Collect and document behavioral data and student progress.
• Assist the teacher(s) and classroom aides as needed.
• Assist students during transitions, arrival, dismissal, lunch, and recess as assigned.
• Support implementation of IEP goals and classroom accommodations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records, and maintain confidentiality.
