Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group, LLC is seeking a School-Based Behavior Technician to support K-12 students in a full-time, school-based setting for the 2026-2027 year. You will work with teachers, special education staff, behavior specialists, and therapists to implement behavioral interventions and support IEP goals.

You’ll provide 1:1 and small-group support, collect behavioral data, and help students develop academic and social skills in on-site classrooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience working with severe behaviors.
• 40-hour behavioral training course OR 6 months ABA experience.
• Ability to pass district fingerprinting and background check.
• Availability to work 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States; English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, 2:1, and small-group support throughout the school day.
• Provide behavioral support and implement Behavior Support Plans and BIPs.
• Provide emotional and general academic support, including help with assignments.
• Assist with daily student needs, including mobility, feeding, toileting, and diapering.
• Reinforce positive behaviors using evidence-based practices.
• Help students build self-regulation, communication, and social skills.
• Collect and document behavioral data and student progress.
• Assist teachers and classroom aides as needed.
• Support implementation of IEP goals and classroom accommodations.
