Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is hiring a School-Based Behavior Technician to support PK-12 students in a school setting. This full-time role provides 1:1 and small-group behavioral interventions during standard school hours, with supervision and a strong focus on IEP goals.

You will work with teachers, SPEs, behavior specialists, and therapists to build academic, behavioral, and social-emotional skills, while gaining experience in education and ABA support in a clinical-supervised environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 10 months of applied behavior analysis (ABA) experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States; English proficiency.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• Comfort with toileting and diapering assistance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow school, district, and student support procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, 2:1, and small-group support throughout the school day.
• Provide behavioral support and implement behavior support plans and BIPs.
• Provide emotional and general academic support to students.
• Assist with daily student needs including mobility, feeding, toileting, and diapering.
• Reinforce positive behaviors using evidence-based practices.
• Help students develop self-regulation, communication, and social skills.
• Collect and document behavioral data and student progress.
• Support teachers and classroom aides as needed.
• Assist during transitions and school day routines.
• Support implementation of IEP goals and accommodations.
