Job summary

The Maryland School for the Blind is seeking a qualified behavioral specialist to provide behavioral services to individual students as part of a multidisciplinary team. With supervision, you will conduct FBAs and help develop and implement BIPs, while monitoring their effectiveness and data collection.

Responsibilities include consulting with IEP teams, training on BIP implementation, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in ABA, psychology, or special education.
• Board certified Behavior Analyst or BCBA- Doctoral.
• Must possess and maintain certification as a behavioral analyst in Maryland.
• Knowledge of Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs).
• Knowledge of data collection, functional assessment, and behavior modification techniques.
• Experience with IEP teams and BIP development is preferred.
• School-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts FBAs and collaborates with IEP teams to develop BIPs.
• Monitors BIP fidelity and data collection.
• Maintains records and participates in interdisciplinary meetings.
• Provides consultation to students, staff, parents, and community professionals.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
