Job summary

Somerville Public Schools seeks a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to collaborate with staff serving students with disabilities. You will assess behavior, develop BIPs based on ABA principles, and coach staff and administrators to support curriculum access and measurable progress.

This full-time role requires experience with early childhood settings, data collection, IEPs, and team consultation. Fluency in English is required; Spanish/Portuguese skills preferred.

Qualifications

• MA state BCBA certification required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience with young children birth through age five and families.
• Fluency in English; bilingual Spanish/English or Portuguese/English preferred.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communities.

Responsibilities

• Assess student behavior and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Provide consultation and coaching to staff and administrators.
• Create and review Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and IEP goals.
• Train staff on ABA-based behavior change procedures and data collection.
• Collaborate with other providers on curriculum modifications and social skills.
• Maintain and analyze behavior data to measure progress.
