Job summary

Acushnet Public Schools seeks a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students with IEPs. You will consult with staff, help design and prioritize goals, and plan student schedules in classroom or small group settings.

You will conduct formative and summative assessments (including VB-MAP), collaborate with teachers on specialized instruction, provide staff training on autism, report progress to families and administrators, and attend IEP meetings.

Qualifications

• Certified BCBA and committed to supporting students with IEPs.
• Experience collaborating with teachers on specialized instruction.
• Ability to conduct both formative and summative assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation services to staff regarding students with IEPs.
• Collaborate to develop and prioritize IEP goals.
• Create schedules for students to be seen in classroom or small groups.
• Conduct formative and summative assessments (VB MAP) to determine current functioning.
• Collaborate with teachers to determine appropriate level of specialized instruction.
• Provide ongoing staff training around autism and treatment.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement accommodations per IEP.
• Evaluate progress toward goals and adjust supports as necessary.
• Report progress to parents and school administration; communicate with families.
• Attend IEP meetings for students on the caseload.
