Job summary

Cortica - Neurodevelopmental is seeking a School Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 behavior support for students with autism in K-12 settings. You’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and Cortica’s clinical team to promote learning, safety, and positive behaviors during the school day.

This role requires BCAT or RBT credentials within 30 days, a high school diploma, and the ability to travel between campuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BCAT or RBT credential within 30 days if required by the district.
• Safety training certification within 30 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between locations.
• First aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• TB clearance.

Responsibilities

• Execute BCAT-enabled behavior support in one-on-one and group school settings.
• Implement BIPs and skill acquisition programs aligned with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with school teams to embed behavioral strategies into daily routines.
• Support communication, social skills, self-regulation, and self-care in students.
• Collect data and complete session notes and incident reports.
• Attend classroom observations, meetings, and school trainings.
• Apply proactive de-escalation and follow safety/crisis protocols.
• Travel between assigned school sites within the service area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
