Job summary

Cortica is seeking a dedicated School Behavior Technician (SBT) to provide 1:1 behavior support to students with autism and other neurodevelopmental differences in school settings. You’ll work closely with educators, caregivers, and Cortica’s clinical team to help students succeed across their school day.

You will collaborate with educators and families to implement behavior plans, track progress, and support communication, social skills, self-regulation, and daily living skills in the school

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain BCAT or RBT credential within 30 days of employment, if required by the district.
• Must obtain assigned safety training certification within 30 days of employment.
• Must maintain reliable transportation and be able to travel between work locations.
• First aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• TB clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group behavior support to students as described.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill programs aligned with IEPs.
• Collaborate with school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into daily classroom routines.
• Collect data on student progress and behavior and complete timely session notes and reports.
• Participate in classroom observations, meetings, and school-based trainings.
• Follow de-escalation, safety protocols, and mandated reporting procedures; travel between sites as needed.
