Job summary

YMCA of the Suncoast is seeking a Before and/or After School Site Supervisor for multiple elementary sites in the Clearwater area. This role leads the school-age program, ensuring safety, developmentally appropriate activities, and strong connections with children, families, staff, and the community.

The position requires a high school diploma or higher, 2+ years in childcare, and CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in childcare and staff supervision.
• CPR/AED and First Aid required within 90 days of hire.
• Florida Director Credential preferred; Lifeguard and Listen First certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the site, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.
• Design lesson plans focused on social-emotional learning, academic support, and enrichment.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff and volunteers.
• Engage families and communities; represent the YMCA at school functions and meetings.
• Assist in budget preparation; monitor site finances and fee collection.
• Ensure safety and emergency procedures; maintain compliant spaces and records.
