Job summary

YMCA of the Suncoast in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Before and/or After School Site Supervisor for Leila Davis Elementary. You will oversee the operation of a YMCA School-Age Program site, ensuring safety, alignment with YMCA values, licensing compliance, and positive youth development.

This full-time, non-exempt role leads staff and volunteers, designs engaging lesson plans, engages families and the school community, manages budgets and fees, and responds to emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a child-related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in childcare and staff supervision.
• Meet qualifications to be a staff member in charge (SMIC)
• CPR/First Aid certifications and state-m mandated trainings are preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the site, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment.
• Design and implement lesson plans focused on social-emotional learning, academic support, and enrichment.
• Monitor program quality and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.
• Maintain accurate records for children, staff, and volunteers.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate program staff and volunteers.
• Facilitate weekly planning meetings and ensure alignment with YMCA policies.
• Engage families, school staff, and community stakeholders.
• Manage site finances, fee collection, and fundraising support.
• Ensure child protection and proper handling of emergencies.

Education
