Job summary

YMCA of the Suncoast seeks a Before and/or After School Site Supervisor at Oldsmar Elementary to oversee a school-age program site, ensuring safety, developmentally appropriate activities, and licensing compliance. You will coordinate staff and volunteers, develop SEL-focused plans, and foster strong partnerships with families and the local school community.

The role requires minimum 2 years of childcare supervision, SMIC qualifications, CPR/First Aid within 90 days, and a passion for youth

Qualifications

• Must have experience supervising childcare staff and volunteers.
• Knowledge of youth development practices and child behavior management.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Florida Director Credential preferred and must meet YMCA driving criteria.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the site to ensure a safe, nurturing environment.
• Design lesson plans focused on social-emotional learning, academics, and enrichment.
• Monitor program quality and licensing compliance; maintain accurate records.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Lead weekly planning meetings and align with YMCA values.
• Engage families and community partners; represent the YMCA at events.
• Assist in budget preparation; monitor site finances and fee collection.
• Ensure safety and emergency readiness; document incidents.
