Job summary

Orlando Health Medical Group – South Lake Urology is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to manage scheduling, rescheduling and cancellations for tests and procedures. The role requires excellent customer service, coordination with physicians, patients, and ancillary teams, and familiarity with scheduling systems.

The position offers full-time hours, Monday–Friday, with a strong emphasis on patient-first care and accurate scheduling practices in a busy medical group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Complete Orlando Health medical terminology course within 90 days of hire.
• One year of retail, customer service or health care experience.
• Computer experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate information of department/procedure scheduling criteria.
• Be proactive with customers by listening and offering alternatives.
• Demonstrate superb telephone etiquette and professional communication.
• Maintain knowledge of registration and scheduling systems and Web resources.
• Maintain daily review of schedules and communicate changes.
