The Crossings at Riverchase is seeking an organized, dependable, and people-focused Scheduling & Staffing Coordinator to join our team.
This position plays an important role in keeping our Assisted Living and Memory Care teams fully staffed and supported. The Scheduling & Staffing Coordinator oversees employee scheduling while also assisting with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, orientation, credential tracking, and employee records.
Develop, maintain, and coordinate staffing schedules for Assisted Living and Memory Care associates.
Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and proactively address call-outs, vacancies, and scheduling needs.
Recruit and pre-screen candidates for open positions.
Conduct interviews and assist with the hiring process.
Coordinate onboarding and orientation for new associates.
Schedule and coordinate state-required pre-resident contact training.
Ensure Assisted Living and Memory Care associates maintain appropriate credentials and required documentation.
Maintain accurate and organized employee files in accordance with state regulations and community policies.
Work closely with department directors and managers to ensure proper orientation and skills evaluations are completed.
Communicate regularly with associates regarding schedules, staffing needs, and changes.
Help build a positive team environment and promote teamwork, communication, and employee morale.
Assist with direct resident care when needed and when appropriately trained and qualified.
Observe residents for changes in condition and immediately report concerns to the appropriate supervisor or department director.
Perform additional resident care or clinical responsibilities only as permitted by applicable regulations, training, and credentials.
Support community leadership with additional staffing and operational needs as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required.
At least 2 years of related experience preferred.
Senior living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, long-term care, healthcare, or similar experience preferred.
Previous experience with employee scheduling, staffing, recruiting, or onboarding is strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage changing priorities, call-outs, and staffing needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Comfortable working with residents, families, associates, and community leadership.
Basic knowledge and understanding of dementia, mental health conditions, and common medical conditions affecting older adults.
Nursing licensure is not required unless required by applicable state regulations or specific job responsibilities.
CPR certification required.
