Job summary

Longleaf Liberty Park in Birmingham, AL invites an experienced Staffing Coordinator to lead recruiting, pre-screening, and first interviews for open positions. You will schedule orientations, coordinate onboarding with the Business Office Director, and ensure proper credentialing for Assisted Living and Memory Care staff.

This role supports teamwork, helps manage turnover and onboarding effectiveness, and requires a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid, and at least two years in a related field.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 2 years of related experience in senior living or similar industry.
  • CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and records management.
  • Good writing and computer skills; able to use computer programs and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Recruits and pre-screens candidates, including first interviews.
  • Maintains recruitment tracker and schedules orientation.
  • Coordinates onboarding with the Business Office Director.
  • Ensures credentialing for new Assisted Living/Memory Care staff.
  • Participates in staff activities to promote teamwork and morale.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Summary:

The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, hiring and orientation of new associates. Has basic knowledge and understanding of dementia, mental illness and general medical problems encountered by the elderly. Collaborates with the Directors and Managers to assure proper orientation and skill evaluation is conducted, with daily and routine duties including, but not limited to, the following responsibilities listed below.

What You Will Do:

The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Recruits and pre-screens candidates, including conducting first interviews for open positions.
  • Completed and maintains the recruitment tracker.
  • Schedules orientation for new associates and coordinates onboarding with the Business Office Director.
  • Assures new Assisted Living/Memory Care associates are properly credentialed
  • Participate in all staff activities designed to develop teamwork, unity and promote morale.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Effective of position will be measured by turnover; onboarding
  • Will be responsible for implementing and coordinating the communities onboarding process.
Why You Are Qualified:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • At least 2 years of related experience, preferably in a senior living or equivalent industry.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, medical supplies, and equipment. Ability to perform basic adult CPR and basic adult first aid procedures.
  • Good writing and computer skills.
  • Ability to use computer programs and systems.

Hired candidates will be required to successfully complete a criminal background check, valid references, pre-employment drug test, physical and proof of employment eligibility. EOE.
