Job description

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

Position purpose

Schedule patients for outside imaging testing.

Responsibilities

• View patient visit notes, identifying orders listed by the physician.
• Assist in patient imaging scheduling and financial transactions.
• Work closely with outside imaging facilities.
• Identify problems and diagnosis listed in patient visit notes and physician orders.
• File records in appropriate sections of patient charts in EMR.
• Scan and route documents into charts in EMR.
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Basic understanding of healthcare plans.
• Ability to read and understand medical benefits.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 2–5 years of prior medical scheduling is preferred.

Requirements for Level I Status

• Entry level (1–4 years experience) and/or meet the basic requirements of the job with the need for additional supervision.
• Excess of 4 years experience if meeting only the basic requirements of the job with need for additional supervision.

Performance Requirements
