Job summary

Waterville Valley Ski Resort Inc. is seeking a dedicated team leader to oversee ticket scanning and guest security. You will supervise a team of scanners, ensure smooth daily operations, and maintain equipment and safety protocols across the resort facilities.

You will also assist with hiring, training, and scheduling, while coordinating with Lift Operations for winter training and incident response. Strong customer service and knowledge of laws and policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Frontline guest service skills.
• Experience supervising a team is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ticket scanning operations and provide front-line support.
• Oversee safety and security of buildings and parking lots; lead security/parking staff.
• Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling of security and scanning team with Lift Operations Manager.
• Supervise and coach ticket scanners to deliver great customer service and promote Ski Freedom.
• Maintain scanning equipment for daily use.
• Develop winter training plans with Lift Operations Manager for safe lift operations and reporting.
• Monitor teammate performance; provide feedback, recognition, or escalations as needed.
• Handle guest questions and complaints with timely resolutions.
• Maintain knowledge of laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Oversee daily operations of the ticket scanning process including collaboration with other departments; provide front line support.Oversee the safety and security of the buildings and parking lots, lead a team of security / parking staff, respond to incidents involving guest security at the lifts or in the buildings.Assist with hiring, support, training and scheduling of the security and scanning team in conjunction with the Lift Operations Manager and other departmental managers who participate in the job sharing programEffectively supervise and coach a team of ticket scanners to provide great customer service while promoting the Freedom to SkiMaintain scanning equipment for daily use.In coordination with the Lift Operations Manager, develop and execute winter training plans for safe lift operations, ticket and pass scanning, daily logs and needed reporting, authorized-channel communications, and department and company policies and procedures.Monitor and document teammate performance and behavior to provide meaningful feedback and direction, providing recognition, correction action or escalations if necessaryReceive and assess guest questions, comments and complaints providing timely resolutionsMaintain knowledge of and adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policiesOther duties as assigned
