Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a friendly Ticket Checker to greet guests on the slopes and keep lift lines moving. You will verify day passes, scan passes, and help guests with basic questions about terrain, dining, and events while maintaining a welcoming tone outdoors.

This seasonal, part-time role requires standing outside in cold weather, occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs, and working weekends and holidays. Prior customer service experience and clear English communication are essential to safely

Responsibilities

• Scan and verify lift passes and tickets.
• Organize lift lines to minimize wait times and maximize chair capacity.

• Support Lift Operations with maze setup and teardown of poles, ropes, and signage.
• Remain vigilant for safety hazards in line and assist in emergencies.

About the Role:As a Ticket Checker, you are one of the first team members guests interact with when hitting the slopes! You will play a vital role in keeping lift lines organized, validating guest passes, and setting a positive, welcoming tone for the day. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy customer service, working outdoors, and engaging with a high-energy crowd!Key Duties & Responsibilities:Access Control: Scan and verify all lift passes, day tickets, and credentials to ensure valid access. Maintain knowledge of all pass types, promotions, and resort policies.Maze & Crowd Management: Organize and merge lift lines efficiently to minimize wait times and maximize chair capacity.Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly, answer questions about resort terrain, dining, and daily events, and assist in resolving ticket issues.Department Support: Assist Lift Operations with morning set-up and evening teardown of maze poles, ropes, and signage. Perform routine snow clearing around scanning zones and maze entry points.Safety Awareness: Remain vigilant for potential safety hazards in line, assist with misloads, and support team members in emergency situations.Qualifications & RequirementsAge Requirement: Must be at least 16 years old (or 18+ based on resort policy).Skiing/Snowboarding: Skiing or riding ability is not strictly required for this role, though helpful depending on station assignment.Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiastic attitude, and clear communication in English.Availability: Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods.Reliability: Must have dependable winter transportation to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.Physical Requirements & Work EnvironmentOutdoor Conditions: Must be comfortable standing outdoors in cold, windy, and snowy alpine weather for extended periods.Physical Effort: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs, operate hand scanners, and perform light snow removal.
