Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a dependable Scale Attendant to support post-collection operations by accurately processing customer transactions and operating the truck scale system. You will verify materials, maintain records, and assist customers with disposal procedures in a fast-paced facility.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and teamwork, with opportunities for growth in a growing environmental services company. Bilingual skills and cash handling experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, administrative support, cashiering, transportation, logistics, dispatch, scale operations, or another customer-facing role.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate data entry.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and data-entry systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate computerized truck scale systems to accurately process inbound and outbound vehicles.
• Verify customer information, account details, material types, and transaction documentation.
• Process scale tickets, receipts, invoices, and customer transactions accurately.
• Collect payments and process cash, credit card, check, and account transactions when applicable.
• Provide customers with guidance on disposal procedures, accepted materials, pricing, and facility operations.
