Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is seeking a Systems Technician to service, upgrade, maintain and test telephone, data, voice circuits and related equipment. The role includes supporting SCADA RTU/PLC systems and other monitoring equipment within the Montello Technical Group.

You will perform preventive maintenance, install equipment, generate reports, and coordinate with supervision to plan and improve maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate's degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent instrument experience.
• Familiar with satellites for data transmission and telecom equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment to restore operation.
• Must be able to use test equipment, measuring devices, hand tools, power tools, DMMs and network cabling.
• Valid driver's license for state of residence.
• Ability to obtain a Federal TWIC card.
• Willingness to learn new and changing technologies.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance duties and installation assignments.
• Perform periodic and emergency overhauls and reconditioning of equipment.
• Provide regular verbal and written reports on work status and assist in planning.
• Use safety equipment and adhere to industry standards.
• Interpret drawings and specifications; modify designs per field guidance.
• Diagnose reported difficulties and restore equipment to proper operation.
• Use spectrum analyzers, frequency meters and data analyzers for testing.
• Coordinate restoration of outages to minimize downtime.
• Maintain spare parts inventory to prevent service interruptions.
• Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with regulations.
