Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an instrument and electrical technician to support construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform predictive and preventative maintenance on control systems, SCADA, and related equipment in gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role involves working with PLCs/DCS, reading schematics, maintaining safety devices, and complying with DOT/PSM requirements, with on-call responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Experience with control systems and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and OSHA 1910 requirements.
• Experience using SCADA/PLC/DCS software tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrumentation.
• Maintain electrical distribution, motor control gear, and related software.
• Read manuals, drawings, and schematics including P&IDs.
• Test and document safety devices per regulatory requirements.
• Participate in on-call requirements and safety programs.
