Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician to provide technical support for construction, plant facilities, and field operations. You will repair, install, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on control systems, SCADA, and related equipment across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines.

The role includes inspecting PLCs/DCS, reading schematics, and complying with safety and regulatory requirements; occasional on-call, and travel to sites may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• MS Office Suite (Outlook/Word) proficiency.
• Experience with control software: Wonderware, FactoryTalk, RSLogix, DeltaV.
• Knowledge of DOT 192/193/195 and NEC/OSHA 1910 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain SCADA, plant, pipeline, and compressor instrument equipment.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments and motor control gear.
• Configure and support PLC/DCS and safety controls.
• Read drawings and schematics (P&ID, electrical diagrams).
• Perform testing, calibration, and documentation per regulatory requirements.
• Participate in call-out/on-call and safety programs.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less experienced staff.
