Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Controls SCADA Engineer III for its Rocket Motor Systems team in McHenry, MS. You will own the SCADA layer, from PLC integration through Ignition applications and plant floor visibility, designing, commissioning, and upgrading control systems for high-rate production of solid rocket motors.

The role requires Siemens PLC proficiency, SCADA experience in Ignition, and strong automation skills with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years in controls and automation in a production environment.
• Proficient in Siemens PLC programming (Ladder and Structured Text).
• Proficient in servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, STO/SS, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for Solid Rocket Motor production equipment.
• Write and debug Siemens PLC code with emphasis on organized, maintainable, reusable code for high-volume manufacturing.
• Follow internal standards for control systems architectures, regulatory compliance, and safety buyoffs.
• Integrate internal and external FactoryOS software into automation equipment and production lines.
• Build and maintain SCADA applications in Ignition, including tag architecture, screens, alarming, and historian configuration.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures, ensuring rapid resolution and long-term reliability.
• Install, configure, and tune servo drives / VFDs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
