Job summary

Anduril Industries in McHenry, MS is seeking a Staff SCADA Controls Engineer to own the SCADA layer for solid rocket motor production, from PLC integration to Ignition applications and plant floor visibility.

You will design, commission, and upgrade control systems, write Siemens PLC code for high-volume manufacturing, and mentor junior engineers while upholding safety standards and internal controls architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in robotics, CS, ME or EE.
• 8+ years in controls/automation in production.
• Expert Siemens PLC programming (Ladder and Structured Text).
• Servo drive and VFD configuration with PID tuning.
• Knowledge of ProfiNET, ProfiSAFE, Ethernet IP protocols.
• Ignition (Perspective) SCADA experience with tag architecture.
• Risk assessments and safety design experience.
• Pneumatic concepts and control cabinet design basics.
• NFPA70e electrical safety practices.
• U.S. Person due to export controlled information access.

Responsibilities

• Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for solid rocket motor production equipment.
• Architect, write, and debug Siemens PLC code for high-volume manufacturing.
• Generate and enforce internal standards for control architectures and safety buyoffs.
• Integrate internal and external FactoryOS software into automation equipment.
• Build and maintain SCADA applications in Ignition (Perspective, tag architecture, historian).
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures.
• Install, configure, and tune servo drives / VFDs.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve uptime.
• Mentor junior controls engineers and provide technical direction.
