Job summary

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, seeks a Controls Engineer III for its Rocket Motor Systems team in McHenry, MS. You will design, commission, and upgrade control systems for high-rate production equipment, and write Siemens PLC code with an emphasis on reliability and maintainability.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, 2+ years in production automation, and expertise in PLC programming, SCADA, and electrical safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Robotics, CS, ME, or EE.
2+ years of controls and automation in a production environment.
Proficient in Siemens PLC programming (Ladder and Structured Text).
Experience with SCADA and OT Networking; risk assessments and safety design.

Responsibilities

Design, commission, and upgrade control systems for Solid Rocket Motor production equipment.
Write and debug Siemens PLC code with organized, maintainable structure.
Follow internal standards for control systems architectures, regulatory compliance, and safety buyoffs.
Integrate internal and external FactoryOS software into automation equipment and production lines.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures; ensure rapid resolution and long‑term reliability.
Install, configure, and tune servo drives / VFDs.
Partner with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement.
