Job summary

First Merchants Bank is looking for an SBL Business Development Officer to manage a profitable portfolio of SBA loans in Royal Oak, Michigan. Responsibilities include originating loans, managing client relationships, and maintaining pipeline integrity. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years in SBA loan origination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or relevant field, or equivalent related experience.
• Five or more (5+) years successfully originating SBA loans required.
• Excellent sales acumen / ability to market and network.

Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate relationships with external referral sources to maintain a consistent pipeline of new SBA loans.
• Actively manage pipeline and follow up on new leads in a timely manner.
• Understand and apply FMB-SBL credit guidance.
