Job summary

Truliant Federal Credit Union is seeking an SBA Business Development Officer to expand our SBA 7(a) lending presence by building trusted referral partnerships and guiding borrowers through acquisitions, expansions, refinancings, and working capital financing.

You will own externally sourced loan development from initial opportunity through credit and closing, coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth communications and timely closings.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years SBA lending experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business/Finance or related field.
• Proven ability to develop external referral relationships and present loan structures clearly.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary market-facing SBA 7(a) lending expert and manage external loan development from opportunity to closing.
• Screen opportunities for SBA eligibility, structure transactions, and prepare a high-level analysis and narrative.
• Coordinate with SBA credit, underwriting, closing, and portfolio teams to move opportunities from review to closing.
