Job summary

FFB Bank in Los Angeles seeks an SBA Government Guaranteed Lending Officer to solicit and develop SBA 7(a), 504, and USDA B&I loan opportunities. You will build relationships and manage the loan process from lead to closing.

The role emphasizes collaboration, compliance, and customer service, with travel up to 75% and a focus on achieving production goals while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of banking or financial services experience.
• Ability to align SBA goals with bank objectives and lead cross‑department collaboration.
• Demonstrated knowledge of commercial banking products and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and time‑management skills.
• Willingness to guide and mentor less experienced staff.

Responsibilities

• Generates new leads through outbound calls, emails, networking, and in-person meetings.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to drive long-term business.
• Uses CRM systems to track interactions, update records, and manage the sales pipeline.
• Drafts proposals and facilitates information exchange for loan analysis and presentation to management.
• Coordinates with loan processor, closer, and underwriter to assist customers through the loan process.
• Represents the Bank in community events and promotes SBA lending programs to grow business.
• Provides leadership and training to less experienced loan officers and staff.
