Sur La Table is seeking a Chef Instructor, Savory to serve as the in-store expert for savory cooking. You will deliver hands-on classes, share culinary techniques, and support sales of cookware and kitchen tools through engaging instruction.

The role emphasizes teaching, brand representation, and high standards of service, with responsibilities including class setup, class execution, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• A degree in culinary arts is preferred; however, candidates with extensive culinary experience and demonstrated technical proficiency will be considered in lieu of formal education.
• 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Deliver in-store savory cooking classes focusing on recipes, techniques, and product knowledge to drive sales.
• Communicate technical cooking concepts in a clear, encouraging, and approachable manner.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down classes, including mise en place, prepping ingredients, and cleaning workstations.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and support store readiness, including restocking and organizing kitchen supplies and tools.
