The role emphasizes strong product knowledge, safety, and collaboration with store teams to ensure memorable customer experiences and ongoing class enrollments.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old at hire.
• Culinary arts degree preferred; extensive experience allowed in lieu.
• 1-2 years kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table by creating memorable in-store experiences that inspire loyalty.
• Deliver savory cooking classes and drive class enrollment and revenue goals.
• Explain technical cooking concepts clearly and encouragingly.
• Maintain product knowledge and pursue available training.
• Assist with class setup/breakdown and keep workstations clean and organized.
• Ensure food safety and compliance with health codes and SOPs.
