Job summary

Sur La Table in Portland, OR is seeking a Chef Instructor, Savory to be the in-store expert for savory cooking. You will deliver best-in-center service by sharing culinary techniques and personalized instruction that supports company goals and drives sales of cookware and kitchen tools.

You will lead hands-on savory classes, maintain high standards, and stay current on products through training. The role includes organizing class setup, sanitation, and guest engagement while meeting revenue

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age or older.
• Culinary degree preferred; extensive culinary experience may substitute.
• 1-2 years of kitchen operations experience.
• Valid Food Manager Certification.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Represent Sur La Table's brand by delivering memorable savory cooking experiences.
• Lead savory cooking classes and drive class enrollment and revenue.
• Communicate technical cooking concepts clearly and accessibly.
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and inventory of kitchen supplies.
