Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U FI-CA Functional Manager to lead end-to-end FI-CA design and delivery for utilities clients in the United States. You will own the FI-CA workstream, align receivables and payments with business policies, and collaborate with Finance, Revenue Operations, Customer Care, and technical teams to drive solution quality and operational readiness.

You will mentor FI-CA consultants, govern cross-workstream integrations with IS-U Billing, banking interfaces, and tax solutions,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Typically 4–6 years SAP IS-U or Utilities experience with FI-CA.
• Experience owning FI-CA functional solution design from implementation through go-live.
• Experience leading workshops, requirements gathering, fit-gap analyses, and governance.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel 40–60% to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U FI-CA workstream: scope, processes, design decisions, delivery plans, quality and risks from blueprint through deployment.
• Define and govern functional design for receivables, payments, clearing, collections, dunning, refunds, deposits, write-offs, and controls.
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap assessments, workshops, and design reviews to translate business requirements into FI-CA solutions.
• Drive integration and reconciliation design across SAP IS-U Billing, Customer Service, Retail Choice, banks and providers, and FI/CO GL.
• Establish FI-CA financial controls, posting and reconciliation processes for auditability.
• Coordinate cross-workstream dependencies and ensure end-to-end alignment.
• Develop functional specifications, documentation, and configuration standards for FI-CA.
• Lead and coach FI-CA consultants and coordinate with technical/integration partners.
• Oversee end-to-end testing and defect resolution for payments, clearing, postings, and reconciliation.
• Manage scope, estimates, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder decisions; communicate options clearly.
• Lead cutover and production readiness activities and post-go-live stabilization.
• Build trusted client relationships and provide guidance on FI-CA capabilities.
