Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Device & Work Management Functional Manager to lead end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Device and Work Management solutions for utilities clients. You will own the workstream, define functional approaches, and align SAP IS-U processes with metering and field operations, while guiding cross-functional teams and stakeholders through delivery, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including hands-on Device Management or Work Management, with 3+ years leading a functional team.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U Device and Work Management workstream from discovery through deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
• Define and govern the functional design for device lifecycle management, meter reading, field service, work execution, and controls.
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap assessments, solution workshops, and design reviews to translate utility needs into SAP IS-U solutions.
• Drive end-to-end integration with AMI, MDMS, EDM, GIS, inventory, SAP Plant Maintenance and mobile workforce solutions.
• Lead the design and delivery of device and field-work processes including lifecycle, meter reading, service orders, and handoffs.
• Manage cross-workstream dependencies to ensure alignment across end-to-end utility processes.
• Develop functional specs, solution documentation, and configuration standards for quality and consistency.
• Coach functional consultants, coordinate with technical/vendor teams, and resolve cross-workstream issues.
• Oversee end-to-end testing and defect resolution for meter-to-cash processes and operational handoffs.
• Manage scope, estimates, risks, and stakeholder decisions with clear options and impacts.
• Lead cutover, reconciliation, training, production readiness, and post-go-live stabilization, with client stakeholders.
