Job summary

EY seeks an SAP IS-U Billing Functional Manager to lead end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions for utilities clients. The role owns the Billing workstream, translates rate and tariff requirements into scalable SAP designs, and ensures operational readiness across the meter-to-cash process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience.
• 3+ years leading a functional workstream.
• Experience with time-of-use and interval-based billing.
• Experience with EDM integration.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
• Willingness to travel to meet client needs; travel estimated 40–60%.

Responsibilities

• Own the SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing workstream from design through deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
• Define the target functional design for Billing and Invoicing, including rate structures and billing controls.
• Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap assessments, and design governance.
• Drive end-to-end integration across Billing and related SAP IS-U capabilities.
• Lead the design and delivery of complex billing scenarios (time-of-use, interval billing).
• Develop functional specifications and design decisions for consistency and quality.
• Coach functional team members and resolve cross-workstream issues.
• Oversee testing and defect resolution for rates, tariffs, and billing cycles.
• Manage scope, estimates, dependencies, risks, and stakeholder decisions.
• Lead cutover planning and billing-cycle transition activities.
