Job summary

EY is seeking an SAP IS-U Billing Functional Manager to lead end-to-end design and delivery of SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solutions. You will own the Billing workstream, translate regulatory and market requirements into scalable designs, and drive solution quality across the meter-to-cash process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Typically 4–6 years SAP IS-U or SAP Utilities experience, including hands-on IS-U Billing and Invoicing.
• 3+ years leading a functional workstream or team.
• Experience owning SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing solution design and delivery through implementation, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Experience with time-of-use and/or interval-based billing and EDM integration.
• Experience integrating Billing with Device Management, FI-CA, Customer Service, and bill print.
• Experience leading requirements gathering, solution workshops, testing, defect resolution, cutover, and operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Owning the SAP IS-U Billing and Invoicing workstream, including scope, solution decisions, delivery plans, quality, risks, and outcomes from design through deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
• Defining the target functional design for Billing and Invoicing, including rate/tariff structures, billing schemas, controls, exceptions, and high-volume processing.
• Leading requirements gathering, fit-gap assessments, workshops, and design governance to translate requirements into SAP IS-U solutions.
• Driving end-to-end integration across Billing and related SAP IS-U capabilities (Device Management, EDM, FI-CA, Customer Service, Retail Choice, meter-to-cash, bill print, reporting).
• Leading design and delivery of complex billing scenarios (time-of-use, interval-based, rebilling, exceptions, invoicing, financial reconciliation).
• Developing and overseeing functional specs, solution documentation, configuration standards, and design decisions.
• Leading and coaching functional team members, establishing ownership, resolving issues.
• Overseeing testing and defect resolution for rates, tariffs, billing cycles, high-volume billing, invoicing, rebilling, and downstream impacts.
• Managing workstream scope, estimates, dependencies, risks, stakeholder decisions, and escalating impacts to operations, revenue, schedule, quality.
• Leading cutover planning and billing-cycle transition activities, including training and production readiness.
• Building trusted relationships with client stakeholders and providing functional guidance on SAP IS-U Billing capabilities.
