Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Utilities Consultant to drive strategic engagements in energy retail and customer service, delivering digital transformation and customer experience improvements. You will engage with senior executives, shape program objectives, and lead cross-functional teams in SAP-enabled transformations to help utilities reinvent operations.

The role offers travel from 25% to 100% and can be based in multiple major US cities near Accenture offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Utility Industry or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of functional experience in SAP.
• Expertise in Meter to Cash operations, functions, and technologies.
• Experience with major Customer Transformation and technology implementations (e.g., CIS replacements).
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (minimum 12 years); if Associate’s Degree, minimum 6 years work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic consulting engagements in energy retail and customer service, focusing on digital transformation, customer experience, and operational efficiencies.
• Serve as a primary client contact for senior executives, building trusted advisory relationships and ensuring alignment with client objectives.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve client business performance, drive revenue growth, and support customer-centric transformation initiatives.
• Manage project teams, guiding junior members and ensuring delivery meets quality, timeline, and budget expectations.
• Lead business development activities by identifying opportunities, crafting proposals, and representing Accenture’s Utilities practice in sales pursuits.
• Actively contribute to thought leadership, staying current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in energy retail.
• Travel may be required; the amount of travel will vary depending on business need and client requirements.
