Job summary

Collins Aerospace seeks a seasoned SEIT Chief Engineer to lead the Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test for the SAOC program. This executive will govern requirements, architecture, verification, and cross-IPT coordination to ensure mission success.

The role requires deep SEIT experience, DoD-related clearance readiness, and ability to guide complex aerospace hardware-software integration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• Experience as a SEIT IPT Lead, Chief Engineer, Program Engineer, or IPT Lead on a major program.
• Experience managing large software and systems development programs across multiple environments.
• Strong knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines, including large-scale software development, IPDS, and EVMS.
• Experience managing suppliers in technical or programmatic oversight roles.
• Experience across all phases of the program lifecycle.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams and operating effectively in a matrixed environment.
• Typically requires STEM degree and minimum 14 years, or Advanced Degree with minimum 12 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level technical leadership for SAOC SEIT activities.
• Govern the end-to-end technical baseline and alignment with objectives.
• Drive system-level integration from lab to flight testing.
• Lead long-range technical strategy and architecture planning.
• Ensure alignment across IPTs and engineering domains.
• Coordinate execution with EVMS and PM for schedule integration.
• Lead engineering readiness events and design reviews.
• Direct SEIT functions to meet requirements and CONOPS.
