Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a seasoned SEIT IPT Lead to oversee SAOC systems engineering on a major DoD program onsite in Richardson, TX. You will govern the system baseline, coordinate across IPTs, and guide verification activities to meet contract requirements.

The role demands strong leadership across software, hardware, cyber, safety, and avionics, plus extensive experience with EVMS and MBSE. You will mentor distributed teams and ensure mission success.

Qualifications

• SEIT IPT Lead / Chief Engineer / Program Engineer on a major program.
• Experience managing large software and systems development across environments.
• Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines including large-scale software, IPDS, EVMS.
• Experience managing suppliers in technical or programmatic oversight roles.
• Experience across all phases of the program lifecycle.
• Ability to lead geographically dispersed teams in a matrixed environment.
• STEM degree with 14+ years experience or advanced degree with 12+ years.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level technical leadership for SAOC systems engineering, integration, verification, and test activities.
• Govern the end-to-end technical baseline, ensuring requirements, architecture, and verification stay aligned with objectives.
• Drive system-level integration from lab environments through HWIL/SIL to flight testing for mission readiness.
• Lead long-range technical strategy and forward-looking architecture planning for mission resilience.
• Ensure alignment across IPTs and engineering domains such as software, hardware, avionics, cyber, safety/airworthiness.
• Coordinate engineering execution with EVMS, metrics, and master schedule alignment.
• Lead engineering readiness events, major design reviews, integration milestones, and customer engagements.
• Provide oversight of technical direction across SEIT functions to ensure contract compliance.
