Job summary

Fortrex is seeking an Assistant Site Manager in Sanitation to support the Site Manager with daily supervision of the sanitation crew at a processing facility in the United States. You will help monitor operations, report issues, and coordinate with corporate teams on logs, payroll, and supplies.

The role involves safety audits, training, and direct staff development, ensuring adherence to cleaning procedures and OSHA standards. Fluency in Spanish and English and 18+ years of age are required.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of related sanitation experience.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• General working knowledge of computers.
• Able to work in environments with PPE.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues and assist the Site Manager develop and implement improvement plans.
• Communicate with the Site Manager daily to report accidents and other plant issues.
• Coordinate with Corporate HR and Operations on logs, payroll, orders, and timesheets.
• Conduct weekly internal safety audits on staff and equipment.
• Set and track goals for the sanitation crew regarding safety and timeliness.
• Supervise direct reporting staff including hiring, training, and coaching.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and customer service standards.
• Assist in training programs including safety training and ERP.
