Job summary

Fortrex is seeking an Assistant Site Manager in Sanitation to lead and support the sanitation crew on-site. You will work closely with the Site Manager to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met, coordinate with the corporate office, and participate in safety audits and training programs.

The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish, have basic computer skills, and possess 6 months to 1 year of sanitation experience.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• 6 months to 1 year of related sanitation experience.
• General working knowledge of computers and technology.
• Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations while wearing PPE.
• Ability to fluently speak, read, and write Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, measure, and report operational issues and opportunities.
• Coordinate daily communication with Site Manager about accidents, downtime, and plant issues.
• Communicate with Corporate office regarding logs, payroll, supplies, timesheets, etc.
• Complete weekly internal safety audits on staff and equipment.
• Set, monitor, and track goals for the sanitation crew for safety and timeliness.
• Manage and develop direct reporting staff, including hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, and scheduling.
• Attend sanitation meetings with customers and regulators as needed.
• Follow procedures in team member handbook, safety handbook, cleaning procedures, and corporate authorities.
