Job summary

Fortrex is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for sanitation operations in a food processing environment. You will support the Site Manager in daily supervision, drive safety, quality, and efficiency, and coordinate with corporate and customers to ensure clean, compliant facilities.

The role requires basic computer skills, 6 months to 1 year in sanitation, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities. Join our team to help protect the food supply by eliminating risks and maintaining high cleanliness

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
6 months to 1 year of related sanitation experience.
General working knowledge of computers and technology.
Ability to work in environments with extreme temperature fluctuations while wearing PPE.
Bilingual Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues and assist the Site Manager with improvement plans.
Communicate with the Site Manager daily to report accidents, downtime, and plant issues.
Coordinate with Corporate on logs, payroll, orders, timesheets, etc.
Complete weekly internal safety audits for staff and equipment.
Set and track goals for the sanitation crew to maintain safety and timeliness.
Supervise and develop direct reporting staff including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating.
