Job summary

Fortrex is seeking an Assistant Site Manager in Sanitation to support daily operations and supervise the sanitation crew at a site in the United States. You will assist the Site Manager, ensure safety and cleanliness standards, and coordinate with corporate teams on logs, payroll, and materials.

Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year in sanitation, strong basic math and literacy, and bilingual English/Spanish abilities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, add, and subtract.
• 6 months to 1 year of related sanitation experience.
• General working knowledge of computers and technology.
• Ability to fluently speak, read, and write Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, measure, and report on operational issues and opportunities, and assist the Site Manager with improvement plans.
• Communicate with the Site Manager daily to report accidents, downtime, damage, and other plant issues.
• Coordinate with Corporate office on logs, payroll, orders, timesheets, etc.
• Complete weekly internal safety audits on staff and equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
• Set, monitor, coach, and track sanitation crew goals for safety, cleanliness, and timeliness.
• Supervise direct reporting staff including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating, and scheduling.
