Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing is seeking a Sample Control Technician I to manage receipt, logging, labeling, and routing of samples within the laboratory. You will prepare bottle kits, ensure proper EPA/DOT compliance, and may perform courier duties to support client needs.

Responsibilities include verifying Chain of Custody, maintaining accurate records, and disposing of waste safely. This role requires willingness to be on-call and travel for sample pickups as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle background check.
• TWIC and TSA clearance may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Professional proficiency in English (reading/writing/speaking).

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads incoming samples and verifies receipt against Chain of Custody.
• Logs samples into Lab Management System and assigns lot numbers.
• Labels and delivers samples to appropriate labs.
• Prepares bottle kits for clients and ensures EPA/DOT compliance.
• Disposes of waste and monitors temperatures per SOP.
• Performs courier duties when needed to support lab operations.
