Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and clerical/administrative experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, multitasking, and computer skills.
• Experience as Unit Clerk or Unit Secretary or in a hospital/medical office preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and physician order entry.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families, providing courteous service.
• Answer phones, call bells and intercoms, directing requests.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges with accurate records.
• Enter physician orders and update patient records in EMR.
• Prepare and maintain unit reports and documentation.
• Support nursing station operations and maintain supplies.
• Collaborate with clinicians to promote efficient workflows.
