RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Unit Clerk in Belleville, NJ, to support the nursing team and maintain a welcoming, organized environment for patients and families. You will act as the central communication point, coordinating admissions and orders while ensuring accurate patient information.

The role emphasizes multitasking, strong communication, and comfort with electronic health record systems. Part-time 15 hours per week, day shift, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous clerical, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and families and provide exceptional customer service.
• Answer telephones, direct requests, and manage unit communications.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges with accuracy.
• Enter physician orders and update patient records in EMR systems.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain unit reports and documentation.
• Support nursing station operations and maintain organized supplies.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the health care team to ensure efficient workflows.
