RWJBarnabas Health is hiring a Per Diem Day RN for Same Day Surgery at RWJ Rahway. The role requires active NJ RN licensure, CPR/BLS, ACLS/PALS, and a BSN is preferred.

You will deliver patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced surgical setting, collaborate with physicians and staff, and contribute to safety and quality across the patient journey. The position is hourly with a daytime shift, located at RWJUH Rahway Hospital in Rahway, NJ.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license required.
• Current American Heart Association CPR/BLS and ACLS/PALS certifications required.
• BSN preferred; NLN-accredited program clinical experience preferred.
• National nursing certification may be required based on department needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to Same Day Surgery patients per NJ Nurse Practice Act and departmental policies.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop an appropriate care plan.
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions; adapt care to patient condition.
• Promote patient safety and communicate clearly with patients and families.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
• Apply evidence-based practices and participate in performance improvement activities.
