Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a PD RN for Jersey City Medical Center. The role is in the Same Day Surgery department, with day shifts and per diem status. Candidates must have a BSN or be enrolled in a BSN program with a planned completion date, plus ambulatory/SDS experience including pre/post-op care. An active NJ RN license and BLS are required; ACLS preferred.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage in New Jersey and requires 3 shifts per month with some weekend and holiday coverage."

Qualifications

• BSN is required or actively enrolled in a BSN program with an expected completion date.
• Ambulatory/Same Day Surgery experience with pre op and post op/phase II.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the scope of practice and maintain ethical standards.
• Ensure safety and contribute to evidence-based practice through ongoing learning.
• Report safety issues and hazardous conditions promptly.
• Know the patient population served and coordinate with care teams.
• Supervise delegation and collaborate with other care providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to tailor care plans for each patient.
