Job summary

Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona is seeking a Salvage Operations Leader in Phoenix, AZ. You will oversee salvage, recycling and e-waste operations, directing daily tasks and driving profitable growth with your team.

Responsibilities include managing costs, maintaining vendor relationships, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and supporting staffing and development. This role emphasizes teamwork and GCNA core values while contributing to community impact and mission fulfillment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1-2 years’ work experience in Retail Management, preferably thrift.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Valid driver's license and clean MVR.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Oversee salvage, recycling and e-waste operations.
• Direct daily operations to meet growth and profit targets.
• Monitor product levels and control budgets.
• Maintain relationships with shipping companies and salvage buyers.
• De-escalate customer situations and provide solutions.
• Partner with community organizations to promote GCNA mission.
• Ensure safety, security and regulatory compliance.
• Assist with pricing salvage products according to market value.
• Support staffing, coaching and performance reviews.
