Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an Equipment Operator to manage baling machines and forklift operations, ensuring safe handling of donated goods and compliance with safety policies. The role includes training others, loading/unloading, pre-shift inspections, and keeping work areas clean, with opportunities to cross-train across ROC departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Forklift Certification required.
• 3+ years' experience.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Safeguards company property, including donated goods.
• Safeguards equipment including forklifts and bale machines.
• Takes direction from leadership with a positive attitude.
• May be cross-trained to provide support to all ROC departments.
• Follows safety rules and uses appropriate PPE.
• Transfers donated goods to baling machine manually.
• Operates baling machine to compress goods into bales.
• Loads/unloads merchandise containers safely.
• Operates hydraulic lift and/or pallet jack.
• Performs pre-shift forklift and tipper inspections.
• Maintains daily cleanings and product placement plans.
• Trains and mentors other Equipment Operators.
• Communicates daily goals to ensure safe operation.
