to provide state tax compliance and consulting for a diverse client base, including mid-market and Fortune 500 companies. You will prepare and review state and local income and franchise tax returns, conduct technical research on tax laws, and support clients through audits and controversy matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; CPA, Law, or IPT certification eligible highly valued.
• 3+ years of public accounting or industry experience in multi-state income/franchise tax preferred.
• Strong time management, communication, analytical thinking, and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review state and local income/franchise tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and other entities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide tax consulting on state income/franchise, sales taxes, M&A, nexus, and filing positions.
• Research complex state tax laws and regulations; analyze data for filing obligations and exposures.
• Support clients in state tax audits, notices, and controversies; maintain relationships across teams.
• Contribute to business development and mentoring junior staff; promote collaboration and quality.
